Envie de faire une thèse?/Looking for a PhD?
Left panel: 3D reconstruction from confocal imaging of tadpole-like larvae of ascidians (also known as sea squirts) to visualize the cellulosic median fin. Top image is the larva itself. Mid panel: Surface rendering with the tunic that prevents seeing the larva. Lower panel: same as mid panel with a transparent tunic. Right panel: logo of the DEEVA team (DEvelopment and EVolution of Ascidians).

The DEEVA team proposes a PhD research project on the formation of cellulosic median fin in ascidian larva: Molecular regulation of cellulose-based 3D morphogenesis in animals. This project stems from a study that we published last year in BMC Biology.

Fellowship to be obtained through competitive selection of the doctoral school Complexité du vivant ED515. Details on the project can be found on the ADUM website.

Deadline: 5th June 2025.
