BIOM is located on the UPMC campus of the Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls (Banyuls-sur-Mer, France) and is organized into four teams :

• E3. Development and evolution of vertebrates (S. Mazan)
• E4. Eco-Evo-Devo (V. Laudet)
• E5. Evolutionary and environmental genomics of phytoplankton GENOPHY (G. Piganeau & N. Grimsley)
• E6. Marine Interaction - Evolution and adaptation INTERMED (Y. Desdevises)
